Anal Bitchass Parents

I was skeptical about telling my parents about the new sleep pattern experiment. Maybe i'd just sneak around with my naps and be real quite during my late night hours, at least until I became adjusted to the new schedule and could show them that it wasn't a stupid idea. Well, I decided that I'd let them know tonight, the first night. What are they going to do, say no? That's crazy, right? Well, they did. I am actually banned from switching to a biphasic sleep cycle. When first semester finals are over I'm going to be all over that shit. Peace out bitches.

The Nap Time Selections

Hello! I'm Johnny, even if my blogger account says im Johann. I've decided to take my naps from 5:00 to 6:30 in the afternoon. This should get me up before dinner and give me enough time after school to get some stuff done.

Problems: I have work on tuesdays that ends at 6. We aren't quite sure how replacement naps work or how easy it is to skip naps. On tuesdays I might try to get in a 90minute nap after dinner. Hope that works.

Other problem: Weekends. I need to figure out how to hang out with people who aren't on the super sleep schedule.

3am-6am here I come! I usually go to sleep around 11.

For the others: The other two have selected their nap times.
Nick is going to do 6:30 to 8.
Kevin is going to do 5:30 to 7.

All of us will be sleeping at the same time for the 3 to 6 portion.

The Schedule

Hello! Welcome to Eyecrust, the blog dedicated to our adaptation of a biphasic sleep schedule. What is a biphasic sleep schedule? Normal people sleep monophasically, in one big chunk. This biphasic schedule that we are about to begin includes one 90 minute nap in the early evening (the exact time of this nap has not yet been decided upon) and one 3 hour nap between 3am and 6am. The schedule is based around the 90 minute sleep cycle, allowing our bodies to go through one complete cycle during the short nap and two complete cycles during the longer one. For more information about Biphasic sleep I would recommend checking out the Wikipedia article and some of the links at the bottom of it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biphasic_sleep.

My two friends, Kevin and Johnny, and I will be starting this little experiment tonight. We plan to skip the early nap for this first night and stay awake until 3am when we will sleep until 6. Tomorrow evening we will begin the complete schedule. We will be posting our progress throughout the adaptation period as well as what we all think of the schedule overall once our bodies have fully adapted to it.
